Hi

The Israel Vibration Track Licks&Kicks contains the Lyrics
"I'm sure it was the 24th of September
that was the day which incident upon i remember"
followed by the story where Babylon (Police) rough up a Rasta Gathering - is this a true story?

Well of course it's true since such things used to happen back than, but i mean is there a significant historical happening which took place on September 24th 1976 - just like the Greenbay Massacre described by Lord Sassafrass on his Greenbay Incident track?

Btw: Maybe someone can help me with this part of the lyrics?
"Licks and Kicks and boxes
right to my brethrens ????
Licks and Kicks and boxes
right to my sisters faces
Oh Jah
I know you stay where I ????"

Thanks and bless

If my ears dont fool me.

One of my favorite Israel Vibration songs and I too have always wondered about the story.
I always thought the lyrics were....

Licks and Kicks and boxes
right to my bredrens structa (as in structure or their body but I could be completely wrong)

Structa would have also been my first guess, but i wasn't completely sure. It makes sense since the Patois Dictionary translates "structure" with "body"

kandis second suggestion ("I know you stay where you are and seeeee") also makes sense, and after hearing it once again it also sounds like that.

Thanks for the contributions so far!

This is Bredren Wiss at his best, respect to the Rastaman. On his "Wiss Vibes" CD, he was interviewed and questioned regarding the 24th of September.

The interview starts with him saying "true story....." This was an actual incident that took place. He actually says that after the incident happened he started writing the song "None stop....till he finished.

Regarding the ryrics,straight from the interview;

....right to my bredren's structure.

Oh jah I know you stay where you are and see what they did that was meant to be.

Respect and Jah bless
