Missing Matrix

I am wanting to buy a copy of Keturah Duffus - Dance Rastaman but the seller says thee is no matrix on the vinyl. Is this normal?
my original copy (Studio One label)has this written in the matrix:
Jamaica Recording Dance Rasta Man A
no numbers, so if he meant that, it sounds genuine
