I was just listening to the brilliant *Mawamba Dub* album (what a great set!) and was wondering on who the producer is.

I know the D. in D. Witter is for Delroy and I can only assume it's the D-Roy of the D-Roy imprint who released the album and tons of other nice stuff.

But who was he? Did he sing or play any instruments as a session member? I can only presume it's a UK guy based on the location of the D-Roy label. For such a prolific label there's very little info on him.

Me too don't know anything about him, but happen to love both Mawamba Dubs. Part 2 is also a great Dub album.

I've got both issues of the album but neither of them are identical to the ones presented at Strictly-Vibes.

The original press front cover is actually the one shown as the »other press« front cover (whith the signature at bottom left) and the »other press« is almost identical but has only one line of text at the top left (»BMDRLP1001«) and slightly less is visible of the signature (probably due to cropping when scanning the cover for re-issuing).

... but too bad there's no more info on D-Roy.

Then again Dennis Bovell must know about him.....

I used to e-mail a little with the guy from Badda Music. He is greek and was/is the manager of a singer that was going to play in Sthlm. Will try to find his mail and see if he knows more.
