Been searching for this all morning, since the horns line came into my head I need to hear it!

Main horns line goes something like this:
(one string guitar tab for ease of display, on high e)

e|--9/10--8--6--5---1-3--| (then a bar or so pause for bassline)

Im afraid the best way I can describe timing of that is:
do-ooooo do do do doo-do

Thats probably not the right key, but you should get the idea.

I am pretty sure its mixed at King Tubbys, it has flying cymbals, quite fast tempo, quite a bit of high-pass action and its the only version I have heard of the riddim (Ive never known the vocal either). And I think its credited to the Aggrovators.

Have you got the audio somewhere or you just had once a listen?

I think of one thing but it's a pure guess.. (maybe I just wanted to listen to the tune... CRUCIAL) horns, flying cymbal and mainly one chord on the melody.

Thats not the track I was after, but its very nice!
The flute/trumpet combo confused me first listening, I couldnt work out which one it was until I realised it was probably both! Great sound


I dont know why it came into my head, but it sounded familliar enough to be on In Fine Style or some other Tubbys compilation I have on my mp3 player, I spent ages flicking through tracks to find it but must have missed it first time round, because I discovered it was "Tommy McCook & The Aggrovators - Dub Station" from the album "King Tubby Meets Aggrovators at Dub Station"

Are there any other versions of this track and does anyone know what the vocal was?

I thought there was a lot of high-pass action on the horn lines, but apparently not, so either I just imagined that in my mind when I was trying to remember it (most likely) or I have heard another cut somewhere.

And while we are on the subject of that brilliant album (..Dub Station) anyone know the vocal to "Joy/Joh Soy dub"?
