Kinda of a calypso / mento vibe. An old song for sure (from memory-so not sure if its all right):
"mama do not beat me no more
my back it full up a sore

The song you want is "Do Mama" by Little John (Witty's 12").
It came out shortly after the song it's styled after (Barrington Levy's "On The Telephone").

think it's an old mento/calypso tune indeed.
Little John's version is cool too, though. My personal fave take on that comes from Screwdriver (tune called "No Mama"), although in this clip he states it's his creation

Thats the one-haven't heard it for 10+ years! the mediations tune. I didn't remember the rythym track at all only the melody of the chorus. Thanks. FOr some reason i though the backing music was more like this one by Lord Spoon & David:
