the song is ya-ho by the viceroys. different version to the one('s) i know so maybe it's someone else singing it? lots more knowledgeable people on this forum who should be able to confirm.

Thank you. Knowing the song name I found a version by The Jays that I just happen to have that I think might be it. If anyone else can confirm that, please do.

I believe it's Gladiators "Jah-O" on Prince Tony's TR Groovemaster 7" which I have a copy of - great version of that tune!

maybe those guys didn't make it through auditions & never made a record, so we never know their names?

Song might be called 'longest liver' or 'soon come'?

Excellent info there BMC. I think I like the audition version rather than the recorded one though.
