Favorite Dub Album?

The sirens definately kill that album.

However, I was told some time ago (I think by Bellyman) that it is only the first one which uses them.

Never bothered with the others and bought the Addis Ababa ones instead.

Like I said an acquired taste.

There are many other dubs I want to check out before returning to Jah Shaka.

some of my favourite dub albums :
African Anthem Dubwise (Mikey Dread): the auralux release with the sound fx . warm sounding, weird music.
Vital Dub / Well Charge : mid 70s rockers rhythm, with that crispy Channel One sound.

THE classic Shaka album would be in my opinion »Kings Music«.

anyone here rate dread and fred? they did a dub series named ironworks and when i saw them live they were brilliant too.

i couldnt say for definite 6anbatte, but there is indeed some decent Shaka dub out there.ithout sirens. It is good dub, but still an acquired taste. I know that his chapter 3 or vol.3 of some particular set of albums, has lion roar, capture, chains broken and the king on it. It is very good dub.

pockets of resistance by scientist is a very good album indeed, its heavy dub all the way

Can I choose one for each year from 1973 to 1984?

LEGGO DUB was the very first dub LP I ever heard, on a poor quality tape on an even poorer tape machine. But the vibe still came through - testimony to the strength of the music.

So if you asked me to spend life on a desert island with one dub LP it would be this one.

But I would sorely miss many many other Dub LPs from Tubby, Scientist, Jammy, Gibbs, Errol T and more.
