Re: Great Reggae LP's (unlikely to be re-issued)
Vlad,
If you like i can check about the Sandra Reid.
Sir George is the father of Anthony Brightly (you'll see A Brightly's name as arranger and producer on the vinyl here when you look for the song "Don't Tell me Her")
Now why do i mention this? Anthony is one of the founding members of legendary 70/80s UK roots reggae band Black Slate... remember "Sticks Man", "Amigo" and more niceness.
Since a couple of years i'm working with Anthony...and the band is touring again.... Here's a link to a live "sticks man" in Belgium in summer 2015: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFuMdKjDqmQ
They are totally back and kick some serious ass...but will full dedication and joy on the stage..... i'm happy to be working with them.
I speak to Anthony at least weekly....so i'll ask if there are plans to reissue this album!
Keep the music strong!

Re: Great Reggae LP's (unlikely to be re-issued)
Im flattered someone bothered to care enough to post my review of the J.Edwards album. Its from my blog which got hacked and spammed with porn and ads for bootlegs. I will re-post it although the blog has a different format and is first and foremost an online radio station now. I believe i posted the review on discogs as well.
On to the album, i absolutely love it, one of my all time favorites who helped shaping my taste in Reggae. So worthy of an reissue.

It's fascinating to return to this thread 10 years later and see how many of these albums that have been reissued.

ahah indeed, so much coming out (although i feel like it has slowed down a little) time and money make it impossible to keep up ! i do get a bit bothered by the fact that such limited runs can push me to buy a record quicker than i would like to, out of fear it'll no longer be available... but i guess that's what it might have been like back in the day ?

agreed regarding short number of pressings. I recently missed out on LKJ's Dread Beat & Dub 10" as they only did approx 150 world wide. Especially annoying when you live overseas......
