Besides Sugar with Youth Promotion (formerly Jah Live) and Little John with Romantic HiFi. What other singers had their own sound systems?
I know a lot of deejays and even more producers that had their own sounds. Even a couple of engineers. But when it comes to the singers I can't really think of any else than just Booga Minott and Nasal John owning their own sounds.
One could argue that Volcano was owned by a singer since Junjo started as a vocalist called Mr. Dominic before turning to production. But I'm thinking of people that really were known for singing.
Buster was also a singer besides producing ... he did have a sound once.
Any more?

Actually "Jah Live" changed it's name to "Black Roots", not "Youth Promotion". While some of the same people in BR were behind Promotion, they were two entirely different sets.
Same with Romantic....it was a collective, but Little John, being well known, was a "front-man", and part owner. Star power, it works everywhere!

And the embarrassing part is that I'm just now sitting and doing the layout for Beth's book on Sugar and YP where everything is explained thoroughly.
You can't think of any other singers fronting/owning a sound system?

Can't remember Barrington more as a passing through or residential artist on any sound. Didn't know about him running a sound.

Jumbo Shower; Good to hear that Barrington is running one now! JA needs more sound systems.
Return of Jesco: Dunno about Clancy Eccles really. Haven't heard about him running a sound ever.
Zigggyy; Yeah ... the deejays are many that have owned their own sound systems.
