Re: Sugar Minott
lol, this is old, first band (?) where sings Sugar, start of 70's i guess for "african brothers" and "mysterious nature" is the evolution of their style, the best album for me*
I really dont know about labels etc etc, use google plz (i got it in mp3...)
This is CRUCIAL roots album man, music and chants! Sounds as old Abyssinians and sorta for me...
oops, sry but sometimes i read too fast and think i have understand... Sry but iv never hear a good Sugar Minott album of his modern period.. i have still hear him singing not so good, no rimes or adding some words for end some phrases out the tempo etc etc... I dont like. But a friend tel me that his best period was in 70's, maybe he was talking about AFRICAN BROTHERS time... I really dont know... Im too interesting by goods Sugar Minott albums but it look hard to find good ones in his big carrier... Good luck

I heard some of the african brothers tune, and it sounds real good. But I have to disagree when you say that the new sugar minott stuff is not so good. I heard some nice songs. I like his voice

Re: Sugar Minott
you can always try his Studio 1 stuff:
Albums "showcase" & "Live Loving". I believe Soul Jazz recently released a sugar minott studio compilation. A good one to start with?
