While I like a lot of later stuff, I think it's best this site sticks to its mission and doesn't stray out of that 70-85 era. It wouldn't be ROOTS archives if it did.

But perhaps we need to start a sister site called dancehall archives, or digital reggae archives or something...

I Belive the Idea of a sister site dedicted to the dancehall era is great.

The mods should look into this and take it seriously.

The site could be dediced to the FIRST WAVE DANCEHALL/RUB-A-DUB(1978-1984) DIGITAL DANCEHAL (1985-1987)and RAGGAMUFFIN DANCEHALL (1987-1995)

There are some music which are legally free to download and i feel it would again be legal to share them.If there could be some place for on the site to dump music one would want to share.

Selecta Bing. There's a search engine for the Forum section - find it at the top of the Forum pages. I use it to find old posts or answers to questions - it works well.

Yes Litelet, I agree, but that is a BIG thing to do.

But I would love to see 12inch 45s given the same treatment as the LPs here.

What would you people think about having to register before posting on this forum ?
I know Seb isn't really into this and I have had some discussions about this with him. Still, I think it's not a too bad thing having to register.

Registered users only means more control over problematical posting. So I agree, or maybe limit unregistered users to a small number of posts before they have to register, like 5 or 10 posts.
