Just to clarify what i'm looking for: I want to find songs done by a group with one producer/studio, then redone by the same group at a later time with Scratch, not songs covered by/with Scratch. My playlist was originally gonna be Studio One vs Black Ark songs by the same artists (see my first post), but I can't find enough examples... Thanks

One for your Studio1 vs Perry tracklist:

The Wailers - Put It On

I reckon there are more Wailers tunes, but I'm not a Wailers-expert..

"put it on" wasn't made at the ark. The topic is Ark vs studio one.

Sammy,

Studio One vs Ark is ideal (and was my orig idea), but I'll take any remakes by Scratch with the orig artists (so Put it on works). I didn't know there was an older (non-Perry) version of Concious man. How can I find the orig version? Would love to find that one...maybe my all-time favorite tune.

@DWick:
I have seen a seven inch re-issue of the older version. I think it was never released on any CD or digital form.

Drifting off topic again but I'll go head to head with AnorakTrev over To Be a Lover - Gene Chandler on Checker Records...

If anyone knows of a CD with the older Conscious man, please post it. Thanks...Don't know how I forgot about some of these tracks.
