Dj Milk, you clearly cannot read your own link. The LP you refer to is "Dread in a Babylon",take another look. Also, I dont work in Phone Shop, but at least I do have a job. I defy anyone to find anything on the net, apart from the earlier post which included a listing from black music magazine (thanks to Lester). Stick with what you know, and leave the big boys to deal with it. This is a genuinely rare article that absolutely no one knows anything about, one of the reasons I joined this forum was to find out more about this record. Even the moderator has never seen it or heard of it before, and I'm also waiting to hear from blood and fire records. And its Croydon, not Croyden.

The fact that 'even the moderator has never seen or heard of it' does not mean probably no one ever heard about this album. I can assure you, I am not the 'all-knowing'. ;)
Though I do believe I do know my fair share about U-Roy, reggae music still seems to amaze me.
After I found 'Love Is Not a Gamble' in the eighties, I thought I had the 'holy grale' concerning U-Roy's work. Then years later, I found a 'bootlegged' 70's release of what now is called 'The Lost Album'.
So far, I have not seen another copy of either although Love Is Not a Gamble is probably available if you really want to.
Now there's yet another album for me to track down. An impossible task, it seems.
Hopefully at some point, even this album will be readily available as another 'Lost Album' ;)

Hi Sisaket, just seen what you mean, but this surely has to be a misprint as it says that it is on the virgin label, and to date I have never seen a U.Roy LP on that label called "Dread in a Africa". Have you? Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that Richard Branson may have actually pulled the release of this LP because it sounded to much like "Dread in a babylon" or "Jah son of Africa" which were both on the Virgin imprint.
