Hey Rootsman

Unless your car CD player is really ancient, it should play a CD made with MP3. It is also possible to digitize LPs onto CD in a way that 'most' CD players can cope.

But yes, it is a chore!

As for Vinyl v Divorce - there is another way...

...get a wife who respects your obsessions/hobbies and the fact that you work hard to earn the money in the first place!

My wife is obsessed with shoes (what girl isn't?) so I encourage her to service her shoe needs as long as she doesn't dis my vinyl buying mania.

But yes, I totally agree, it is very easy to get out of hand with vinyl. It is a powerful drug!

Back to the thread, Sounds Vol 2 was my second dub puchase back in the 70s and I think it is a classic revo's LP.

Thanks for the advise leggo.

Unfortunately at the time I made the mistake of ditching the vinyl instead of the wife. (you`ve no idea what I went through)

So there doesn`t seem much point in ditching the wife now.

In respect to the CD, the car I have is brand new so I would assume it would should play the format you mention.

You will have to excuse my ignorance though as i`m note overly computer literate with what you can and can`t do.

Respect

Dave

not knowing computer stuff isn't ignorance Rootsman, it's probably lucky (just ask anyone who knows computers and finds himself constantly 'invited' to fix his mate's PC problems, aaaargh!)

And shit, I ditched a wife AND the vinyl --- now that IS stupid!!!

Got lucky and found a new wife who lets me be who I am. Jah bless her.

Hi leggo,

I`ll take your word for that, i`m just happy that I can manage to navigate around the sites and order my music.

When you talk downloads and ROR this and ZIP that I think what the f___ they on about.

Maybe ignorance is bliss.

Hey Leggo, You say you`re in Lincoln (didn`t they have a football team once). If West Ham get a cup tie there I might just take you up on the Reggae Jam.

Respect

Dave

Just dug out my Vol 1 (White cover Che. I also have it on CD so it must be readily available), and must say the absolutely sublime version of 'Death In The Arena' is worth the price of admission alone.

It swaggers! And those horns!!!!!!! Surely, this is as good as it gets.

King,

The Revolutionary Sounds (white cover, che) is readily available and easy to find. However, like Top Ranking Dub it is a poor master from vinyl. Not as bad as TRD though, not many pops and skips!
