Could tell you all about me and a friend's "interesting" journey back into town from seeing the Mighty Diamonds and Frankie Paul at the Willesden Empire, but it would take a while!

Hi Jesco,
next to what Gabranth said I read somewhere Junior recorded the tracks of the Junior Reid & Don Carlos - Firehouse Clash album. (http://roots-archives.com/release/1794)
Although released in 1986 the Junior Reid tracks were intended as a follow up to Mini Bus Driver, but after the Voice Of Progress group broke up, I guess Delroy Wright sat on the tapes until Junior hit it big with Foreign Mind, Boom Shakalack and being asked to front Black Uhuru at the end of '85 to replace Michael Rose.
Peace,
DJ

Also around that time Junior Reid recorded a few tracks (mostly one-offs) with different producers, like 'Oh Happy Day' (1982) for Roy Cousins, 'Sufferation' (on the awesome Late Night Blues riddim) for one R. Green and 'Thanks And Praise' (1984) for Delroy Witter.

The Roy Cousins produced tracks were collected and released showcase style also in 1985 on the '2 Of A Kind' lp with Teezy on the b-side (http://roots-archives.com/release/3556).
They were re-released later in the '80s (or maybe early '90s and on cd in 1998) on the 'Double Top' lp this time with Cornell Campbell (http://roots-archives.com/release/1316).

Yeah I got that Double Top CD. The dub version to Oh happy days is probably one of the sickest versions I've ever heard. Scientist and/or Professor are really having fun with some kind of new toy there. Wicked! Other great tracks on there.

I never heard the other two singles you mentioned though. Sadly.
