Wow thank you! I would have never guessed that word was disturbance. Dis-tur-ban-see. So awesome!

Very interesting track this, one that I first heard on John Peel show way back in 1983 I think. There are two different rhythms that the song rides, one a fairly mellow, quieter tune, the other a very heavy riddim much more upbeat. On the day to day living album, and on Roots and Culture, its a different tune to the Observer 7 inch I've heard lately. Observer tune is much more to my liking . Both are great though. Song suggests that a load of pigs and goats came marching through the area and Don panicked.

The two versions I know are
- the Junjo-pruduction on the Day to Day Living album on Greensleeves
- the one on the excellent VP compilation "Channel One Story Chapter Two"

@Sean: So this 7inch you talked about, is it one of these two versions?

Which version is on the Culture/Carlos album on VP? The same as on the Channel One compilation I guess.

And another question. Does anyone know if there's another tune out there on the heavy Junjo Riddim. Flabba's bassline is so awesome imho. One of the best Roots Radics riddims for me.

It's not the day to day living one, that's got the slower riddim on it. Culture Carlos album, well it has same riddim as day to day living. Observer 7 inch is on youtube and is absolute heaven.

Hi all,
OK, here's what I (have and) understand.

Version 1) (like the Hog & Goat 7" mentioned). a rawer sound,

found on Jah Light, Laserbeam & Channel One comp.

Version 2)
Found on Roots and Culture & Day to Day Living albums.

But,.... Even these two albums versions are slightly different to one another.
Roots and Culture version has more FX, the (I don't know what to call it) BING/BOING or something sound (more common with Black Uhuru).
Day To Day Living slightly less "produced".

I don't believe one is slower than the other, (I listen to both and tap my foot, haha not technical, but I think they are the same tempo). BUT have a very different feel.

Great song

Ari
