20 years exactly. First artist I heard was Peter Tosh.
As Peter Tosh said "walk and don't look back...."

Nuff respect to Chuck Foster and Hank Holmes for having a wicked roots show. It's been going ever since here in Los Angeles and it's still dynamite. Serious vibes.

First started in 1978 when a friend gave me a tape of Leggo Dub.

Then started buying Lps, the first was Kaya, by Bob Marley.

Then sold the lot by 1984.

Started collecting again about 2004, at first it was Cds, then repressings or rereleases. Now it is almost always original period vinyl!

Recently I got into 12inch 45s, and I fear I may be also getting into 7 inch 45s.

It's all getting to be a bit too much like an addiction...

Started listening to the basics (Bob, Tosh, Spear, Culture) when I was 12y/o in 1993. My passion and collection have grown steadily ever since then. Now, at age 25, have around 450 or so albums. Love it all- from Mento & Ska to todays latest.

Wow... Just realized I have been listening to reggae for OVER half of my life.
