Yes, but with some tricked out dub work from Jerry Brown at Summer Records.Jason Allen wrote:Quick question are "Let us Give Praise" and "Rejoice Jah Jah Children" the same tune? I know the chorus for "Rejoice..." has those words in it.

Don't forget "Cheating and Lying" for Studio One which is well deep.

Never heard much of their roots material, more on the lovers side. The one lovers track that gets me everytime is the wonderful "I'm gonna be there" Studio 1 7". What a killer this really is over the timeless "Pick up the pieces" riddim.
But yes, Silvertones, great great vocalists.

The Three Tops - Take Time Out ('73)
I read that the Three Tops / Tree Tops were in fact the Silvertones

this is also a Studio One 7" single - came out in 1977.
haven't seen a mention of "Midnight Hour", not really a roots tune but certainly one of their more well known songs done for Duke Reid/Treasure Isle

@Bart: Thanks for the tip about 'The Three Tops'. The track is pretty good.
@Nefta: I believe that Delroy Denton is named Delroy Butler on at least one Lee Perry single (Black Art). The track is Give Thanks by Delroy Butler.. which is the vocal version to the better known 'Herb Vendor' by Horsemouth.
