I saw Deadly Headley in a band supporting Tappa Zukie in Edinburgh a long time ago and I think (very tentative here) the line-up was Horsemouth on drume (fresh from appearing in the "Rockers" film), Vin Gordon, Touter on keyboards and Professor on bass, but there was no guitarist, great gig all the same. That time it was Horsey that tried to steal the show, but they were all good.

you people already mention great names,
but this one e.g. made always impression on me;
the soulfull trumpet-solo, that fits so well in the following song,
"You Lied" of album 'Lots Of Love & I' by Bob Andy (aka Keith Anderson).
It was played by David Madden or Bobby Ellis, according the album-cover.

And how about this dub-album, totally based on horns- (sax-) support;
Cry Tuff Dub Encounter Chapter IV by Prince Far I & The Arabs,
(the cover says: horns by Deadly Headly).

Also found the horn-section with the live-performance of Aswad and also Burning Spear real tight !

I guess we'll really fall out when I tell you that Tan-Tan supported Rico on his trumpet when I saw him in London two years ago.

That gig really ripped up the floor. The two old boys on horns were so tight. I was gobsmacked.

Reggae on any format is always worth your attention but NOTHING beats it live.
