Ah yes Bellyman - another of the 'signature' dub albums that confirmed me as a Dub Fan! The bass line from the first track was probably the first dub bass lines I ever learned, I used to do a version of it with one of my old bands in about 1980 - it started me as a dub bassist and I'm still playing dub bass today!

BTW thanks to all on this thread for the inspiration - I'm preparing the backing track for the MightyZ All Stars gig at the Global Village Peace Gathering in Lincolnshire in July. During this I took a break to read some thread on the archives and saw this one. It made me think 'I don't have enough sound fx on this backing track' - so I've started adding some more in ... and yes leggorocker - I've found a barking dog sample to use! ;D

I think it will enhance the overall experience greatly so thanks for the vibes people!

speaking of ET's dub fx, that mix on D Brown/ Big Youth's Running Up and Down 12, a killer amazing that Gibbs gave ET such free reign to do that, but I'd guess the popularity of Mikey Dread's radio show set the stage for ET does No Bones for the Dogs have barking fx?
