If a seller wants to earn more money by overpricing shipping cause ebay don't tax shipping, no problem if it's stated before cause you will bid less (I don't do it myself but I can understand) but when it comes after the end of the auction, it's clearly not fair cause you assume before bidding that the cost won't be prohibitive.imet wrote:...........we are all reggae buyers and many of us have experienced some sales too...it's easy to verify that ebay longside paypal drain in combination a lot of % from our deals, so IMO a fear overpricing over real shipping cost should not be considered a ripping but it must be made present to buyer PRIOR to bidding, otherwise it's an unwelcome surprise.......
...i don't belive it's the case to forward feedback blackmailing but sometimes a neutral could be an useful rating for some seller not so really reliable....
...ebay is setting all the rules as they like, it's their empire...
Threatening is the only way with crooks, and I have no mercy with them, I'm honest so dishonesty just gets me on nerves. If some silly seller wants to play that dodgy game, no problem, I have 2 account, one for sales, one for bids so no risk for me. I only did it 3 times over 200 auctions in 3 years but when I did, it was *really* deserved.
To send a LP from UK to France, it's about £2.8, I think it's quite fair until 4.5£ / £5 when not stated before end of auction. More is pure robbery, especially if the packet is home made.
