Geeze Les, that is horrible to hear that about Clive. Never heard that sad news.

After my dealings with Clive, a friend of mine went to Jamaica in 1991 or real early '92 and actually met up with Clive. He spent a day with Clive, had lunch with him, talked records and music.

When he came home, my friend couldn't stop talking about how nice and genuine of a guy Clive was --- said he was like a lovable teddy bear. Meeting Clive was one of the best things about his Jamaica trip.

I just told him the news about Clive and he can't believe it - especially considering how nice and mellow Clive was...

Hi versionside,

It's great to hear such détails about Clive, détails that the "Natty Dread" article didn't talk about.
I'm sorry, I had to bring you such bad news about him.
Too sad so much artists died in this gun shootong way...

Nevertheless, his niceness certainly will continue to be reflected in the music he produced.

PS: I can make scans from the Natty Dread article if you want, just PM me. It's only french speaking unfortunately.

Respects

Double spot on JJ! Got to play Woman I Love you again, wonderful song.

Kurt, yes!!! Would love to hear what Lambert is up to these days - anything and everything he wants to mention would be super. Les mentioned that he is doing Gospel music now - does that mean he doesn't do Reggae music at all anymore?

At minimum, please pass along greetings and respect to Lambert - you know he put out some good tunes when you can listen to them 30 years later and they still sound fresh!
