The black ark stuff is great, but do not forget the early seventies stuff as well.
Listen to the records he made with the Wailers (Duppy Conqueror, Sun Is Shining, and many more) , Carlton & Shoes "Better Days" as well as recordings by Leo Graham (e.g. Newsflash), Instrumentals by Lester Sterling (check out the "Return of Django" album) and really excellent early toasting records by Dillinger.
Most stuff is released on Trojan (these are all safe buys). New compilations of this stuff have been released with great value (check out e.g. Wonder Years).
When recording these, reggae was really invented.

Oh yeah I love the wailers production that he did. Even some 60ies records are beautiful (although I am not a big fan of the 60ies).

Joshua, the best Lee Perry ever for me is "SUPER APE", take too the "Reggae greats" for have a good idea of his great talent (he sing a crazy song "soul fire" in, and other good stuff).

The name "Upsyndicates" was once used on a JA Upsetter single "Dub The Pum Pum" b/w "Kill The Music" by Lee Perry & The Silvertones b/w The Upsyndicates.
