Not sure if this helps or hinders, but there appears to be another Honey Boy. At least I assume this isn't Honey Boy Martin.

He moved to Britain in the late 60's. Initially Oxford and then on to London.

Arise - Diamond 1980

Mind you, the RA database attributes "Arise" and "Strange Thoughts" to Honey Boy Martin so maybe they are one and the same. All a bit confusing, methinks.
