If someone were to set up a community where at least a handful of people were regularly asking questions and providing opinions on rhythm origins, I would be all over it. I've always wished for a place where people took an interest in this sort of thing, posted sound samples, etc. The databases are awesome resources, but I think a community question and answer themed area would be nirvana.Upright wrote: but ... can't seem to track down some of the riddim names, i use Ernie B & jamrid
any recommendations on other sites?

Re: Collection
I've been thinking about setting up a riddim section on my mix tape site at www.leggorockers.com/downloads
This would be an area where a member would name a riddim and then upload a short clip of music to ID that riddim.
Then other members could add other tune clips on the same riddim and also any alternative names used for the riddim.
There would also be the opportunity to discuss the riddim and ask questions, give facts and sort out when the riddim appeared and who originated it, etc etc etc
Are there enough people out there who want this and would contribute to it if I set it up?

(please answer this question on the NEW topic I have created so we don't hijack this thread!)
