i'll clearly check the audley rollens tune.
I also have that clinton cd, it's pretty nice but a bit too 'clean' for an acoustic session, it misses a little soul IMO.

Fearon's album is not from the 70's.

There is Ijahman - Jah heavy load, the video is on Youtube, it's really great !

theres a youtube video of mighty diamonds recording in the studio, long time tune

jack ruby auditions were avalaible too in youtube, but now only rests one (great tune of mickie simpson - dont cry)

The Key Of Life (Acapella) from Fred Locks is very nice too, but not exactly acoustic

there's a no 70's group called Jahcoustic, and they sound really good!!

might be '80s but is Bim Sherman's Miracle on On-Sound worth picking up?

I have it and do like it a lot, but I think it might be an acquired taste. If you can imagine his gorgeous voice backed with strings and tablas and that appeals, buy it. :)

Pretty sure a lot of people on RA would hate it! :D

Incidentally, it was in Mojo Magazine's Top 10 On-Sound albums.

I'll try and have a listen over the weekend to give a more accurate description. I must admit my focus has always been on his voice and the sound of the tablas.
It has an Indian feel so the *strings* aren't classical strings.
Not selling this album very well, am I!? :)

appreciated if you get the chance 6 - the CD's in a local source but no way to hear it. (problem strings are the high violins in pop and easy listening, so this might be fine. seems like the album is another ON-U experiment in a new direction.)
