Thanks Bellyman, was talking of the "In Progress" LP, I have two copies of dis one...
But never heard the other one...
Adam, on the back cover, it is written *"Mikey Campbell"*, no adds of "Reuben". I always assumed it was Michael "Mikey Dread" Campbell.

Agree btw that its not at all the *Dread At The Control* typical *dub* kind of mix... But its so great that I always found logic that the big Mikey Dread was involved in...

Well... received today the *In Progress* compilation with the two extra tracks by *African Woman*... very disappointed by these...
I like pretty much the Abacush tune * Batt Dem * hopefully...
And concerning the "promotionnal" sheet about PEOPLE UNITE, yessss.... it was in!

Akabu was a London band, some members are in the Sista band these days.

Some of them are well known live session musicians in current backing bands ( Diane plays bass for Max Romeo,etc...)

Re: Akabu - African woman abroad
I found the 7" *Watch yourself* in a car boot fair last sunday and it's not reggae at all. I didn't know the artist and took it only because it was produced by Adrian Sherwood. It's a typical Sherwood non reggae production as you can find on some on-u-sound compilation, very "dry", no real melody. And honestly, though I'm very open to lots of sounds and styles of music, I don't like it.
But I'm very curious about the LP, I had never seen the cover before today and I really wonder how it sounds !

The "African Woman Abroad" LP is truly wicked, a must have, completely deep melodical roots with only real instruments
