The trailer itself is very interesting, can't wait for the full documentary. Nice to see comments from big name artists, sad when I saw Yellowman, looks like he suffered a stroke.

There's also another very nice photo of Junjo that was taken by either Pekka Vuorinen or Tero Kaski where he stands by his speakers. You can find it in the classic Reggae Inna Dance Hall Style-book (which is coming out in an updated and extended version!!!!)
Any more information about the book? Who is publishing the extended version? Sounds very interesting.
It's published by Soul Jazz in 2008, simpy named Dancehall.

Re: VP to release Junjo Volcano album
Isn't it two different books?
The Reggae Inna Dancehall Style was published in 1984 while the book Dancehall - The Rise of Jamaican Dancehall Culture was published in 2008 by Soul Jazz.
I am also interested in the updated and extended version of Reggae Inna Dancehall Style. Any more information on this one?

Re: VP to release Junjo Volcano album
They are entirely different books.
RIDS was originally published in linited quantities. It was a great read, and overview of Volcano sound & Junjo's works, written at a time when he ruled the roost.
The original book is being augmented with additional text and photos and aimed at a wider release. The original edition is well worth seeking out if you are fan of that era, or of Junjo's works. The expanded edition promises to be even better.
Last I heard there wasn't a firm timeline affixed to it's publication.
Dancehall was written by Beth Lesser, and was based on interviews and photos taken during the 1980's.

What is that first dub track played in the trailer? Can't recognize it. Anyone?

I don't think any of the photos were included in Beths book. I'm quite certain all photos in RIDHS are entirely by Pekka & Tero and I'm 100% certain that the photos in Beths book are entirely taken by herself.
Fantastic books and both are crucial!

haha, my baddder than bad..smoking is not good for your memory!
the beth lesser book i was reffering to is the 'King Jammy' book.
andf yes it is totally differtn from that finnish dancehall book on Junjo
both books where so difficult to get in the 80s, that i've only read photocopies.
