We were fans of The Mighty Invaders. They played regularly at a small place in Alexandria, Virginia. I believe the name of the place was Montego Bay. The lead singer was Gifton Freeley and one of the girls was Ishel Cole, who released a record on her on. They were a great group playing in a small venue. We really, really loved them.

I was just telling a story about the MI in OC, two weeks after Marley died during a tribute singing GEtUp StandUP, the floor of the restaurant(the Angler) fell into the back bay and the band keep playing and the crowd kept chanting YO---Yo, yo, yo

Bob was truly there.

I also was sort of familiar to the band and years later ran into the female keyboardist Michelle in Hilton Head SC by chance. She remembered all to well the Angler incident.

The lights went out and the band went acoustic as well chanted into the street. Only two or three people went slightly injured, this was a spiritual experience.

My uncle is the lead singer and my father played the drums for this band. The singer Freshly still makes music and has a really nice more current cd. If interested in receiving one I can give you more information on how to receive it.

Hi Keisha...is the band still together? A friend of mine knew one of the members, Tony Clarke. Are they still in the area...and where can I get their music?
