Re: Inge Larsen
The surname larson is one of the most common swedish surnames , its like Smith or Johnson in the us, ,if she whas norwegian she would definitly have been named larsEn , with an e instead of the o,i think it is a very uncommon name in Denmark , but she could be finnish i guess ,or part of the swedish minority in finland(wich is , i guess finnish people who speak Swedish , since they have been there for generations now). and Inge is a boys name , the girlie version would be Inga , or Inger.. might be a misspelling , or maybe she had som hippie type parents who just didnt care? or maybe its a boy with a deep but girlieish voice, hehe ?
but i guess she could still be german or whatever , i dont really know.. im just saying though..

Sorry to ruin the basis of your argument, but her name is Larsen, not Larson. she is Danish, Inge is a regular girl's name in Denmark.Ikito wrote:The surname larson is one of the most common swedish surnames , its like Smith or Johnson in the us, ,if she whas norwegian she would definitly have been named larsEn , with an e instead of the o,i think it is a very uncommon name in Denmark , but she could be finnish i guess ,or part of the swedish minority in finland(wich is , i guess finnish people who speak Swedish , since they have been there for generations now). and Inge is a boys name , the girlie version would be Inga , or Inger.. might be a misspelling , or maybe she had som hippie type parents who just didnt care? or maybe its a boy with a deep but girlieish voice, hehe ?

I thought she was german, because she sings in german language. I got the Moodisc 45 It May Sound Silly with the John Holt/Inge Larsen combination. At least on this single she sings in german language.Jumbo wrote:... I searched the internet and this is one of the few entries I found regarding her (look at 25):

I aksed mr Mudie once, and he replied she was from Denmark, maybe he was wrong.

German was for the longest time mandatory to study in Scandinavian schools - so it shouldn't be a surprise if she sung in German.
Also, Larson is not that common in Sweden as it tends to be with double-s here (ie. Larsson)
