Jah!!!!!!!
The Morwells: In God I Put My Trust
Wonderful track.
You lot helped me find it!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ALL. Blessings!
This is actually the original of the dub I'd always play but finding the extra long dub will be easy, now.

I wish I still had decks to get that 12" of it. It's a track I love, dearly.
Blessings and Peace on you all, you're all champions for helping me find this. I'm disabled and can't get out much so music is my way of staying human and some music has much more meaning for my life. Thank you for helping this bit of I and I keep going.
Love to All.

Wicked dub indeed, love the way the vocal ends and the dub starts with those thunder claps.
I have said on so many occasions that the Morwells must be once of the most under appreciate groups in reggae and Bingy Bunny has one of the most underated voices.

Re: Looking for Artist and Name of a song.
I fully agree.
I recently did a backwards engineer to find out who did the original of 'Concord' dub by King Tubby and it was, lo-and-behold, The Morwells: Reality. The words in that track are potent and just as true today as ever. I was able to save up a few bob and finally get the whole album and I honestly don't regret it.
There are too many gaps in the documentation of calypso -> ska -> reggae -> dub -> dancehall/ragga -> jungle. Amazing tracks and amazing artists, such as Bingy Bunny, have been completely blanked out and it's a mystery why. I guess back in the olden days when getting any kind of coverage was a huge haul it was a lot easier to slip through the media cracks. I've been revisiting a lot of my Roots days and I see I've forgotten a lot of oldies that really were gems that nobody seems to remember today. Even later artists like Ranking Toyan didn't get credit, in my opinion.
I only wish I had everything on vinyl and my decks back so I could serve up all of these tunes for them who would appreciate, old and new.
Thank you lot, again. I've been in heaven just having a youb00b copy of this awesome song to play over and over and over (my finger is sore from hitting the play button).
Love to all,

Re: Looking for Artist and Name of a song.
hey, I'm searching for an old reggae song too. there are also phrases like "like a bird in a tree" and "mount zion" in the lyrics. I hoped that the originator of this thread was searching for the same song I'm looking for but my sought-after track is way more melancholy than the examples given.
I guess the chorus contains these phrases. as far as I can remember the chorus goes like this: (something that sounds like) natty, natty (maybe it's even "natty") like a bird in a tree. natty, natty, (...) mount zion (...)
I'd appreciate every help!
