But I thought you were interested in why the sound changed from the Bangarang days to the Gorgon days, in which case it seems likely that the reason for the difference in sound might have been that Striker started using Tubby's studio, which he had encouraged Tubby to build and even helped purchase the desk from Dynamics. The difference in sound from before Tubby's to after Tubby's is quite noticable when you compare the sound of reggae from '71 / '72, to the heavier sounds of the so-called rebel producers such as Pablo and Glen Brown you can hear it. I'm not talking about the dub sides, those producers and indeed Striker used Tubby's to voice and mix finished product, so no matter where the tracks were recorded, they would benefit from a bottom heavy Tubby's mix.
