Don is right. Evil men used scriptures, re-wrote and mis-translated them to suit their lust. They still do it. 'Thou shalt not kill' got changed to 'thou shalt do no murder'. Maybe the last Pope could feel comfortable about his favourite snack: Veil. Say what! How can a holy man enjoy the flesh of a young calf kept in a box, unable to move, away from daylight. This is torture followed by murder. This is not holy, it is cruel beyond reason.

I&I and my grown up kids have done well without meat. They are strong, healthy, bright and perform well at school. So why, oh why, do we need to kill to eat? We don't, so we shouldn't.

Maximus, you are right.

We can only trust the word of God if it reaches us without first passing through the hands of men with an interest in worldly affairs.

Only those completely detached from material gain, power and wealth can be trusted as keepers and conduits of the word of God. Unfortunately, I doubt God can find many (any?) men like that right now.

The aspect of vegetarianism in Rasta is something I strongly support. However, I am unclear as to how a full chapter on meat preparation and regulation in the old testament (Leviticus) is justified.

Ites Max!

Precisely greatness an essence of Holy Bible (self-interested manipulations aside) be rooted in wat relates magnanity an pittance of mankind both. Righteousness opposite evil. Ina dis case, Moses opposite Aaron

levites (then pharisees)were as battycan is. Moses hand over JAH 6th Commandment "You shall not murder". Moses hand over Manna, ITAL food dat grows pure an clean fram de earth an only must tek de neccesary evryday

That's a very important point Jah Titus - to only take what we need. Gluttony is a sin and Ital or not to take more food than you need is not right.

So much greed, so much waste - it's all the devil's handiwork.

Good point about not trusting books to get the word of god.Gods wisdom lies within us, if we take time, do meditation, and look out for Gods words.Part of this, clearly, is vegetarian living, and peace..to one and all.Regardless of political or other considerations and no matter what they believe in.

Yes. We must follow our hearts. That's why even so-called scientific proof would not shake my faith because that faith is in my heart, not my mind.
