My favourite British reggae album is Handsworth Revolution.

One album which is never mentioned which I love is Present Arms by UB40. Love em or hate em i think the first two albums are classic.

No matter what, 2 great albums
Buy the Reggae Archives CD which includes extra tracks and an interview with the band, the band also get paid, the repress of the vinyl was done without the band's knowledge or permission and they haven't received a penny from it.

Checking the details for the two Delroy Washington albums, it looks like it was only the horns parts on "Rasta" that were overdubbed in JA, so I think that both albums should count as British releases.

Cool, thanks for the clarification, I listened to "I-sus" the other night and was thinking how much the backing tracks sounded like early wailer's Island releases

Rubble Dub MCs Choice - The Reprobates - hard-hitting dubs of the Fashion rhythms with home-made looking Flintstones-themed sleeve.

In no particular order of greatness:

Steel Pulse - Handsworth Revolutiuon (and Islands Reggae Greats compilation is decent, with some of Handsworth, Caught You and Tribute To Martyrs)

Aswad - Showcase

Jah Shaka - Lion's Share Of Dub (Commandments series #3)

Jah Shaka - Kings Music

Misty In Roots - Live At Counter Eurovision

And just out of love and respect for reggae, I believe some post-1985 digi era LP's are worth a mention.....

Blood Shanti & Shanti-Ites - Undiluted
Paul Fox - Ease Up The Pressure
Rod Taylor - Liberate
D. Maximillian - My Story
V/A - Y & D Showcase
