I am presently using an LP entitled 'Scots Wha! Hae - The Pipes and Drums of the Ardgay-Bonar Pipe Band' for these duties.MightyZ wrote:selecta bing wrote :
Back to the topic, slightly.
I always remember
"This album jacket is great for cleaning herb"
on the gatefold version of RASTAMAN VIBRATION
and it was!
Once upon a time you would happily use any sleeve from your collection for this - now they are too precious and you have to use one you don't like or something different from a sleeve!

What's inside your album sleeve? Hidden artwork maybe?

Interesting - a few years back my friends and I went through a phase of giving the worst and cheesiest albums we could find as birthday presents! I have two of these still which are contenders for the cleaning and rolling duty!
'Scottish Country Dancing' is one, but the clear winner must be another gatefold sleeve classic 'Lionel Blair aerobic dancing' - the gatefold opens to reveal Lionel wearing very brief white hotpants - showing you the steps you could do if you really were sad enough to play this album (personally, I could never commit such sacrilege on my Hifi!) - but at least it seems I have found a use for the album at last!
