Re: hair style...
I usually skin my head ... but when I realised that I'm going bald I've let it grow. In some way it feels I want to spend my hairs last time able to see what I once had ... which of course is ridiculous.
Never had dreadlocks for the same reason as ton1.

Re: hair style...
well, funny topic.
my hair are changing style all the time and I've been through lots of different hairt cuts, from the shortest (but only twice in my life) to dreadlocks (also twice in my life). Now my hair are long, just over my shoulders. But yeah I think dreadlopcks are over for me for numerous reasons ; the worst one is job, and also simply because my hair are so straight and thin and not curly at all that it has to be very dirty to become dreadlocks...

yeah rasta, if it wasnt for the inability to catch a decent job, i would lock up my hair in no time...i have really curly/wavy hair so with a little TLC i would have some nice dreadies
But unfortunatly i need money to live and put a roof over my head, so iman have to just stick with a de curls, and not de locks.

Just wash and don't comb.
Takes time obviously, it's not an overnight process.

Re: hair style...
well I had locks twice and I tell it with experience... I personnaly never comb even today and I'm far from having dreadlocks right now. Of course I could wash my locks when I had it but I had to do it rarely, specially in the beginning ! But this is just my personal case . I can throw the comb away" and not become the "black sheep" as the twinkle b. would say

Yes Ben, takes time and true you cannot use harsh chemical like store bought shampoo on it everyday.
Strips away 'too' much.
Some hair on the other hand gets straighter when it gets dirty/greasy so the frequent washing combined with a nice yarn crown can be beneficial to some.
