Not a new artist, but here in the 2000s Burro Banton continues to drop some wicked tunes. I rate this one against anything.

yes!
Burro Banton is a great 'new' artist.
And a wicked tune that is indeed.. I downloaded his Badder Den Dem 2007 album on the net.. were some pretty good tunes on it..
Actually I wanted to buy it, but wasn't available anywhere near here..

Midnite.. Morgan Heritage and Luciano..
This artists for are the ones who play better eggae music in our days, and their message is good..
I read people saying MAvado and those kind of artists, they are so close to hip hopand far from their roots , those kind of artists are making reggae entering in the field of gangst life etc, and i don't think thats something positive..

Correct the modern day ragga and Mavado`s are destroying what the Natty Dread`s started off in terms of positive/message driven and praise unto jah lyrics!
The best artists that still managed to keep the rasta message and natty style in the nineties was Mystic Revealers,Dawit Menelik Tafari,Burning Spear and Culture were still rocking albums all the way into the millennium,Apache Indian but be careful with this guys style because most of it is also drifting towards gangsta so i`d recommend his "Karma" album.
Dawit Menelik Tafari is a jamaican born rastafarian who moved too Cape Town,South Africa so most of his latest albums were wildely available in S.A and are unknown in Europe and U.S.A.....
