Greetings,
I was just siting here looking over all the great & wonderous artist from the olden days & how much I love there music. What a gwan with the new generation and who I would really consider to be a classic artist from the new school of reggae... Just wanted to hear some of your thoughts on this...

Damian Marley/Stephen Marley/Ziggy Marley..
But I also dig Luciano, he's talented singer with a great message for the youth, and Anthony B.
Also like Sizzla/Capleton & Buju Banton.
Besides these artists I don't listen very much new roots/dancehall.

I would also check for new CHEZIDEK CD. A real nice one.
also Sizzla's I-SPACE is one of his most focused released on a while.
got a few nice cuts from Alborosie as well. Dont think he has released a full LP yet but I am eagerly waiting for one!
I havent been following recent tunes for a while (last 5 years) but am I crazy for saying there is a nice resurfacing of conscience roots inna modern style as of late?

Yes, I liked most tunes on 'Welcome To Jamrock' but his 2001 album 'Halfway Tree' was also good!
And yes Alborosie (I forgot him) is wicked!

Thats whats up I really got lost for the past 5-6 years with newer reggae music. It just didn't do it for me for a while. I really think Lutan Fyah is a great artist I wish he would get with some nice producers and drop some straight fire. Jr Gong, He has some nice tracks for the most part really liked "Khaki Suit". Albrosie has nuff tunes and nuff talent I'm anticipating his release as well. I really liked Sizzla's "Waterhouse Redemtion" LP Very Nice.... I sometimes think all these artist have plenty of potential but the producers the get with are really all that & it ends up with a plain jane album.
