to go back on wiss's solo album called mr sunshine, I'd like to say it is quite crucial IMO for any israel vibration fan. A great 1985 release, just like Joe Higgs' Triumph (which remains better, cause yeah, this one's a true triumph..), it prooves we still had some good roots productions in that year !!
Peace

For me, which singer is best depends on which album you are listening to.
All three are amazingly talented and one member always seemed to step up and make each LP memorable. Each did this on different occasions and from one LP to the next the standout tracks could be from either Skelly, Wiss, or Apple. Each would have great tracks but one would contribute a few that just made the album special.
Since their break-up, this has led to a missing part in each of their albums. I have "Another Moses" and have heard "Fighting Soldiers" and if they would have taken the best 4 or 5 songs from each they would have had a decent IV album (especially if all three had been allowed to work together on the tracks). But, because they are now putting out material separately, we get about half an LP worth of good material from each. They need each other to bring out the best material from each.
Definitely, the original IV was more than the sum of its parts.
best of d 3.

True, they need each other to bring out the best material from each... I hardly play the Another Moses album. Is 'fighting soldiers' i.v's album from last year?
btw: I attended an Apple G. show in 2006 that was christened 'Israel Vibration live' and it was not as good as what i saw in a I.V live in Israel video,, In all d chunes he did there was something missing...
Back to the voting ting,, Wiss has taken my vote n Skelly 'runs up'.

Best of them...
Absolutely. I don't care for most of the Dr. Dread produced stuff. Despite riddims from the Roots Radics, from SOML on, the albums get progressively weaker. There are still gems scattered throughout, and they will always be a spectacular live show!
