Israel Vibration Recommendations!

Post by Dubs_West »

Irie greetings bredrin

This thread is going to be about the brilliant roots/reggae trio "Israel Vibration".Since i first ever heard their riddims and lyrics i knew automatically that this was a talented and special group!

Even though these three dreads "Apple,Wiss and Skully" had to overcome there unfortunate polio attack they came through it and no doubt have blessed the reggae world with some of most amazing and timeless music and energy:)

I want to recommend albums of this group that if you don`t already own there a must:

>POWER OF THE TRINITY[BOX SET]:
Get this album A.S.A.P not only does it deliver all their greatest vocal recordings but more importantly there are three CD`s which contain on the first album Apple`s hits then C2 contains Wiss`s hits and CD3 contains Skully`s hits! Then if thats not enough they even throw in some interviews with each singer which is a real treat and insight into their exceptional lives:D No doubt a definitive collection and must have set for IV fans.

>DUB VIBRATION:
This has got to be one of my most favourite dub albums! It has brilliant dubs from allot of there vocal versions stripped down with amazing introductions of haunting echoing, plus majestical horns ripping in and out of the tracks and incredible rasta drumming.Another must have.

>ISRAEL DUB:
This album contains brilliant dubs of the vocal albums "Same Song" and "Unconquered People" which are definitely top notch dub productions.A dub album that speaks for it self.

O.k so there`s imo their best dub albums and all their vocal hits plus interviews on the "Power of the Trinity[Box Set]" Come on dreads if you do not own any of these three albums i suggest you purchase them A.S.A.P. and you`ll realise what rasta`s and reggae enthusiasts have known all along that Israel Vibration are a special!

P.S. I`m going to purchase IV dub soon!! can anyone recommend this dub?

Peace out!(tu)

Ras Gaks. You probably heard Good Morning Mr Sunshine, the title track as Gunosantos has it on his radio station.

I bought the LP recently on the back of hearing that on the station. I have only played it once, due to shortness of time lately. I am playing it again now. The title track is lovely, a great song, but so far the rest is good, but it isn't coming over as a classic, yet.

I'll report again later if I find the LP starts to grab me.

There's another very nice version of Mr Sunshine on Side two. And also a track that is almost like Wackies in flavour.

I'd like to find these Mr Sunshine cuts on a 12 inch Disco!
