Re: Relatives in reggae
Sorry, Lewis brothers were the first ones mentioned.
Yes Rockersmood, interesting question.
I also would like to know if IQULAH and Ini Kamoze are family. First time I heard IQULAH (tune called Wagga Wagga) I thought it was Ini Kamoze.

leggo rocker wrote:On the Silver Camel 12 inch 45 of 'Run Around Woman' by Triston Palmer there's a DJ cut at the end of side A that is shared by Ranking Toyan and Jah Thomas. Somewhere in there one fo the DJs, and I think it is Toyan, sings:
"Me and Thomas we are bredder, same mother different father"
So does this mean:
Jah Thomas + Toyan = Half Brothers?
That is highly unlikely because that line has been used "loosely" in the dancehall fraternity, Tonto Irie uust used it referring to Admiral Bailey the same way and I'm certain Admiral B and Tonto are not releated in any way

No thats wrong Rasteddy. Patrick Andy took the name "Andy" because his singing style was alot like Horace's. Btw, Horace Andy's name is Horace Hinds.

Re: Relatives in reggae
Black Roots, according to the cover-backside of (same-titled) album 1983;
*Jabulani Ngozi* (rhythm-guitar) and his younger brother
*Kondwani Ngozi* (congas, back-vocals), both origin from JA,
hopefully they're still with the band.
