I have the Mango pressing of To Be... here, and the running order is the same as the Island pressing, Midnight Hour leading off the A and I've Got the Groove starting the B.

Hi Jonti

Are both sides inadvertantly labled "Side A"?

Don't forget as you rejoice thinking you have the earliest pressing, the first pressing is not always the most valuable!
Would be worth finding out how many pressings were made of each? That can be a huge factor!

BTW: Why 'Disco Bum'? What does Bum mean here??

probably something crazy Perry invented. Just like 'disco cork' , 'domino mix' 'disco word' and some other names...

The JA pressings are almost always the smallest runs. According to reliable information given by a revered member in another post, JA pressings rarely exceeded 500 in number and sometimes often even less.

The 'commercial' pressings by Island, Virgin etc were usually very much larger, although there are a few ultra rare offerings on these labels.

Of course, there are also some rare UK/USA pressings from the plethora of small record labels that were around back in the day.

Here - "Super Eight"

Also If you look at the Smokey Room label (Side One) it has A.D. on the top left hand side as does the right hand Strictly Vibes label (Side two).

Wonder if the Strictly Vibes labels are from 2 different albums?
This would suggest, perhaps, that there were two or even three label designs in use.

I think my copy also has A.D written on it. I'll check when I get home.

... AD usually stands for Anno Domini (meaning in the year of the Lord) which in this case would be 1977 :D

btw does someone know which trackorder this Canadian? pers has ? : [TO BE A LOVER](http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GEORGE-FAITH-To-B ... dZViewItem)

Looking at that scanned picture it appears to be showing the b-side and appears to be;

I've Got The Groove
Diana
All The Love I've Got
Turn Back The Hands Of Time

So I would guess it is the same as the Black Swan issue;
*Side A*
Midnight Hour - Ya Ya
To Be A Lover
Opportunity
So Fine
*Side B*
I've Got The Groove
Diana
All The Love I've Got
Turn Back The Hands Of Time

Must admit I would have thought it would have been the same as the Mango pressing.
