The Karl Zero and the Wailers, certainly a bit cheesy, but nice for the DVD,which is quite funny and interesting how they connect again after not having played together for some time.

There are plenty of artist who had The Wailers for backing on several occasions. Artists like:
Junior Delgado, Leroy Smart, Augustus Pablo, Gregory Isaacs and Hugh Mundell
What tracks did the Wailers back Gregory pon?

Bumping this thread for a small questions i've got.
Gonna watch Stone Roses in Manchester, and Wailers are gonna be one of the supporting acts.
I've read that there are two Wailers these days, "The Wailers Band" and "The Original Wailers".
One with Barrett and one with Marvin.
Is that correct? And which one do people usually refer to as just "the wailers"?

Sang Q wrote:Greetings,
The Wailers also backed up Israel Vibration's second album, "Unconquered People". They backed up Burning Spear on "Hail Him". They backed up Joe Higgs on "Blackman Know Yourself".
Here's a website for Olive Grant (aka Senya, aka Ta-Teasha Love) that was set up before she passed away:

Respect!
Hail HIM does not feature Carlton on drums, a huge piece is missing from this puzzle in my opinion. Nelson Miller is a good drummer, but not of Carly's pure genius caliber...

Joe Yamanaka + Wailers = Reggae Vibration
Pecker = Pecker Power (on half the tracks, the others are backed by Sly & Robbie)
Gilberto Gil = Vamos Fugir (from the Raca Humana album in 1985)
Marley family = early Melody Makers (the children vocals are rapidly becoming unsufferable, but the dubs are superb with fantastic basses in particular), a few Rita Marley tracks, a couple I Threes, Cedella Booker's album = Redemption songs

Aston Barrett -> Wailers Band
Junior Marvin + Al Anderson -> The Original Wailers (why they chose that name, I can't comprehend, Familyman is certainly the ultimate original - of course next to his brother and Bob, Peter and Bunny)

Thanks!
So if they write that "Wailers" is gonna be one of the supporting bands, then its most likely "the original wailers" they mean, right?
Would prefer the Wailers Band with barett, but i guess thats unlikely.
Then again. Time will tell.

Jimmy Riley - World For Everyone (Blue Mountain LP 1985)
The album contains several tracks with the Wailer as backing band. Tracks recorded and mixed at Tuff Gong studio.
