Check my post reggaematic history. Follow the links. In one of the interviews (with Steely and Clevie) they talk a lot about the 'money men' producers taking too much credit for what was not 'artisticaly' theirs, even if they 'owned' it financially.
The interview answered a lot of the questions I had asked some while ago in a post about hte roles of producers, engineers and musicians in JA music.

What ever we all think of Scientist. (I for one think he's good) I must say I always liked the cover art of all those Greensleeves records. Tony McDerrmot is a great artist.
