I can swear you I just realize it this afternoon, thinking of the Studio One LP I have at home and those I've heard and realizing that the only pressing that always sound great are the red and yellow ones. I had never read anything about it before, I promisewareika wrote: Regarding S1, material is just a good exemple. Ton1, perfectly illustrate this point (don't take any offence) when he says "But could you confirm this feeling : pressing from Brooklyn era are better quality than others (earlier and later)".
During a long long time I hunted the red&yellow represses from Brooklyn. Just because they are considered as the best in term of sound.
