How to make a podcast?

Hi.

I would like to make a podcast with my mixer and 2 cd players. How to?

Well, if you can plug in the mixed to your computer and record what you're playing on the CD-players then it's just a matter of recording.

You can always use the free program Audacity for the recording and then use razor lame for encoding it to mp3.

no offense but you can buy it there and he'll tell you and youll get it done quicker.

I'm happy to help you get started, as I assembled a small DJ/broadcast-type studio and started podcasting earlier this year.

I found that recording to my computer was problematic. I got some extra noise when I connected the computer's soundcard to the outputs of my DJ mixer via 1/8th to RCA cable. Even after plugging in a USB audio device, I got a similar noise. I think it was ground loop hum. Then again, I have an old computer. So ultimately, I decided to forget computer recording. Instead, I record to a Sony Hi-MD portable. You might want to record to a flash recorder. They're getting less expensive and more powerful all the time. Take for example, the Zoom H2.
