12 Star is Keeling Beckford's label, that LP came out in NY. re: one of the artist saying it was a bootleg, i'm sure it's b/c Keeling bought the tape and/or licensed the release from whoever produced it in JA, so when the artist see it come out in NY and have no idea who Keeling is, they assume it's a bootleg.
