Moodie In Dub Vol.3 (Feat Soul Syndicate At Channel One) Question

Post by kandi »

Greetings,
I have always been confused between what seem to be two similar releases but with different track titles. The first one is:http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2158

Tracklist:
1.Where Eagles Dare
2.With You In Mind
3.Do This In Bed
4.Peace Offering
5.Nineteen Love In Dub
6.Conference Theme
7.Tribal Recipe
8.Mudies Serenade (In Dub)
9.Dub Is Paradise
10.Dub Recipe For A King

Second is:

Tracklist:
1 Brewed Dub
2 Downhills Park Dub
3 Can't Do Without Dub
4 Petrol Dub
5 Sticks Dub
6 Feeling Dub
7 Pain Dub
8 Town Dub
9 Reveal Dub
10 City Dub

Both on Moodie Disc (1977).

The question is "Which is which?"

Harry Mudie (Jamaica) and Moodie (U.K.) are not the same person, the confusion comes from the similarities of their names and also album titles. I believe Moodie's dub albums have no involvement from King Tubby.

To add to the confusion of your question about vol.3, this album is apparently the same

Sorry to hijack thread but it sort of fits in with the topic.

I wanted to know what this one is like

[cover=1445,1672]

I saw 2 copies on CD the other day but I did not buy one as I was in a rush and wanted to hear it before buying.

If its good i`ll take a wander back to the shop.

Thanks

Dave

I just had a spin of that LP.The tunes are totally different but same titles.I wonder whether someone tried to reap where he did not sow!
