Bonnie and Clyde reference
Anyone know what the Lee Scratch Perry dub song is that starts with the lyrics "Don't be like Bonnie and Clyde if you want to stay alive"?

The film "Bonnie & Clyde" (1967) was very popular film, and Jamaica is a country that loves action movies, especially those with outlaws. That would explain why two American gangsters would find themselves in Jamaican songs some thirty years after they were shot down.j j wrote:Bonnie & Clyde are also mentioned in Desmond Dekker & the Aces Israelites.

I think it's Dread Ina Jamdong from Jah Lion's Colombian Colly. Lee Perry's fingers were all over this.

Philip 'Papa' Levi's Bonnie and Clyde was a big tune back in the early 80s. Released just after his big hit Mi God Mi King.
