Alton Ellis rare track

Post by lenroy »

I heard an alton ellis dub slate via david rodigan (capital radio) and festus (coxsone sound system) in march 1982 where a song by alton ellis called tell me was played. Was this ever released? It came from one of the very first recording sessions at channel one.

I heard it wasn't released as a vocal but the dub is on this album:

One of the best Channel One riddims IMO

B side, track 4.
the one after The Enforcer's Ride On and before 'Woman is like a shadow)

( never really memorized those funny titles....call them by their riddims)

The mix is different to the Festus dubplate. Still very good.

Thank you both for your assistance. To get hold of at least the dub is better than nothing at all. Very much appreciated.
